What to Expect

  What to Expect

Every first day of the week the Jackson Heights congregation assembles as did the early Christians in the first century. We like the early disciples observe five acts of Christian worship as revealed in the New Testament. We will be led in prayer during service. We will be exhorted by the proclamation of God's Word. We will partake of the Lord's Supper. We will give of our means as we have been prospered. We will sing songs of praise in our hearts to the Lord. The early church worshipped in this same simplistic fashion, not by choice, but by God's revelation.
At the end of our sermon an invitation will be extended for any who need prayers of strength, encouragement, or repentance in their life. It is also a time in which one may elect to put Christ on in baptism in order to be saved from sin. At Jackson Heights we understand that all have struggles and spiritual needs, and as God's church we want to provide spiritual strength and comfort to those who are hurting and have needs that we can assist with.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We want to be of service to you and our Lord. May the Lord bless us all as we strive to work and worship in the Kingdom of God's glorious Son.
